This is going to take awhile

Last ditch effort before we call it a night & resume 1st thing tomorrow morning.
Just wanted to share these everyday normal pictures about this amazing kid who truly loves the Lord and has overcome some tough obstacles :)

So thankful he can just be a kid and do what boys do, like playing in the dirt.  We could have lost him or he could easily have lost his ability to do this, due to his injury during the project.
So grateful our God heals and restores!

¥Last steps before we power up.¥
Phase 1 of 2
Digging the 350' trench from the house up to the road where we will tap into the power company to run our electric line.
A seperate trench will be dug at a later time for the sewer. Unfortunately these 2 cannot share the same trench.

Its been an interesting journey with mistakes made lots of frustrations and unforseen  circumstances. Despite it we have just kept taking steps towards moving in.  We're doing only what we must to receive temporary occupancy.  Were getting desperate lol! Seriously though we are.  We have much to be grateful for & We're looking forward to looking back on all the hard work.

Like I said, this is going to take awhile...

House update

A couple of weeks ago we were ready to pour our
basement.  The prep involved in this required plumbing (Not our thing) & heavy labor lots of shoveling/ moving of dirt by hand. Plus working regular full time jobs ,This equals =exhaustion.  So two miraculous things happened.  The loaded concrete truck is on the way & we can't cancel it.  Its paid for.  The plumbing inspection which we had failed the previous day was not going well,  This is down to the wire, the inspector, who happens to be a believer literally passes it moments before the concrete arrives.  In walks Ron & Rich.  They are not only expert concrete guys,  the support & morale they brought were exactly what Jeff needed.  It was a breaking point & besides if we're being honest we would probably have a very lumpy basement.  So very thankful the Lord provides what we need, when he knows we need it.  Also thankful for friends willing to lend a hand!

Ron smoothing things out, it turned out perfect by the way!
Generous cousins allowed us to borrow a piece of equipment.

We show our gratitude with nutty buddies.

Deciding on the color of the exterior was easy in our minds but not an in stock, super cheap choice.  We knew we get 1 chance to choose this color, it's not in the budget to change it if we don't like it.  So we work it that we can order a premium color, so that we don't regret the color every time we drive down our driveway.  We had chose the color in a certain profile.  When it comes in ,right color,  but wrong profile.  Since this was the vendors error we'll save the amount we paid extra for premium.  Yay!
Rockaway grey
The first piece.
It looks sweet with the thick white trim.  More pictures to come...
we like it :)
